Managing Director
Ben began his journey with the company in 2013 at just 17 years old, starting in marketing. Over the years, he progressed through roles including Sales Operations Manager and General Manager, and now serves as Managing Director, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business.- Professional Highlights: What are you most proud of in your career? Starting in a more junior role all those years ago and working my way up to MD.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? I enjoy spending time with my family and going to watch football.
Carl
Workshop Manager
Carl joined us in 2015 and now leads as our Workshop Manager. He’s your go-to person for booking services and repairs, as well as any technical support you might need- Favourite Part of the Job: What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy talking to different customers and helping them out with their problems and giving them the best service that I can.
- Company Impact: How do you feel your role contributes to the company's success? I think I have helped create a positive and supportive work environment, which has played a key role in CES’s success today!
Colin
Service Manager
Colin began his career with us in 2010 as a driver and has steadily progressed to become our Service Manager. He now oversees repairs, servicing, and machine training, and is always on hand to provide technical advice and customer support over the phone.- Company Impact: How do you feel your role contributes to the company's success? I regularly speak with customers over the phone to provide technical support for their machines, helping to build trust and encouraging them to return to us time and again.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Spending time with my family and going fishing.
- Professional Highlights: What are you most proud of in your career? Progressing in CES from a driver to Service Manager.
George
Sales & Hires Account Manager
George joined us in 2018, starting in the workshop as a plant mechanic focused on servicing and repairing machines. He has since moved into the sales office, where he handles all sales and hire enquiries. Whether it's answering the phone, recommending the best solution, or finalising a hire or sale, George is your go-to contact. You'll also find him assisting customers in the shop.- Growth: What are some skills you're looking to develop in your career? Development in sales techniques and sale closing since moving to sales.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy going to car shows and motorsports events and learning about cars and upcoming models.
Tana
Warehouse Assistant
Tana joined CES in 2023 as our Warehouse Assistant. He’s responsible for picking and packing all incoming and outgoing parcels, making sure your delivery arrives on time and in perfect condition. He also lends a hand in the shop when needed.- Company Culture: What do you like most about working at CES? The overall friendly environment makes it a welcoming place to work and as though we’re all one big family.
- Company Impact: How do you feel your role contributes to the company's success? A key factor to the company’s success is website and phone orders and I manage sales, packaging and deliveries.
Jamali
Plant Mechanic
Jamali joined us in 2022 as a trainee plant mechanic and has since developed his skills working with 3-phase, 240V, and 110V electric machines.- Growth: What are some skills you're looking to develop in your career? Electrical and mechanical welding.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Cars, gaming and gym.
Elvis
Driver
Elvis, who joined us in 2023, is our dedicated driver. He's out on the road most days, delivering large machines for both sales and hire—and he's also the one who collects hired equipment once the job's done.- Favourite Part of the Job: What do you enjoy most about your work? Being out on the road and visiting different places and meeting different.
- Company Impact: How do you feel your role contributes to the company's success? The efficiency of deliveries of machines that creates satisfied and return customers.
Paul
Yard & Workshop Assistant
Paul joined us in 2024 and works as our Yard & Workshop Assistant. He ensures all machines are thoroughly detailed and prepared when they come back from being hired and then again before they go out on a new hire.- Favourite Part of the Job: What do you enjoy most about your work? Everything but mainly being part of a great team.
- Growth: What are some skills you're looking to develop in your career? I would like to expand my electrical knowledge and welding.
Rob
Workshop Technician
Rob joined us in 2024 as our Workshop Technician. He services and maintains our hire fleet and also supports customers with machine servicing and repairs.- Favourite Part of the Job: What do you enjoy most about your work? Work with a good bunch of people.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Motorbikes, canal boats and whiskey.
Jessica
Marketing Manager
Jess, our Marketing Manager, joined us in 2018, coming from a background in teaching—quite a shift from her current role! She oversees all aspects of marketing, including filming, social media, and blog writing, and also handles bookings for health and safety and training courses.- Growth: What are some skills you're looking to develop in your career? I would like to work on my video production and editing skills in order to help grow CES’s social media presence.
- Personal Interests: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Being creative wherever I can, generally this means throwing amazing parties or my 3 children.
Louisa
Marketing & Admin Assistant
Louisa joined us in 2024 as maternity cover and now supports the team as our Marketing and Admin Assistant. She helps with a wide range of marketing activities and handles various ad hoc administrative tasks.- Favourite Part of the Job: What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy the fact that it is totally different to what I used to do (I come from a hotel background) so not only is it a different job role, it’s a completely different industry.
